Wine & Chocolate at Chatham Hill Winery
Join Triangle NACE and Chatham Hill Winery on February 9, 2010 to learn about urban wineries and the art of chocolate making.
Co-Owner and Winemaker Marek Wojciechowski will speak with us about what makes the winery unique, give timed tours and offer barrel tastings.
Paul Mosca, owner of the Nahualli Trading Co., will teach us about cocoa beans during ongoing chocolate-making demos as we sample Chocolate Seeds – chocolate covered whole organic cocoa beans.
Catering Works will take us on a culinary journey incorporating chocolate into each dish:
Scallop Ceviche Tostada with Sweet Onion Mole citrus-marinated scallops served on chocolate tortilla chip with a sweet & smoky onion mole
Chocolate Bruschetta baguette crouton pan-seared and topped with melted bittersweet chocolate & flaky sea salt
Savory Chocolate Napoleon bittersweet chocolate square layered with savory cream cheese and spices
Arugula Mango & White Chocolate Salad spicy arugula married with cilantro, mango, chevre & pumpkin seeds, drizzled with a sweet & spicy white chocolate vinaigrette
Cocoa Pulled Pork BBQ NC Pork butt hickory smoked & cocoa braised with medjool dates served with a crispy cocoa dusted wonton
Arepas with Chipotle Chicken traditional fried South American flat breads accented with pieces of chicken that have been braised in a rich chipotle with a touch of cocoa.
Sweet Potato Salsa with Cocoa Chips
Spanish Cheese Table offered with fresh baked breads Marcona almonds and quince paste
Diablo Cookies a delicious chocolate almond cookie with a touch of peppers, a great combination of flavor
White Chocolate Mousse with Passion Fruit Gelée
10% will be offered on all wine bottle sales for the evening.
